Railing thru Europe: Stop 3.6 Southern France – Monaco
Though Monaco is an independent country and the 2nd smallest country after the Vatican, we have decided to categorise it under Southern France as the city is part of the Côte d’Azur (also known as the French Riviera). Taking the train from Cannes to Monaco, we could see many nice beaches as well as the clear blue waters of the Mediterranean sea.
Many rich and famous celebrities often come here for holidays and the city itself seems to exudes an air of indifference. The main train station itself, located inside a giant cave, looks different compared to the other train stations we’ve seen.
