To the Theatre of Dreams @ Old Trafford

oldtrafford-main

One of the main highlights for me to embark on this working holiday, was to see and experience being in the Theatre of Dreams. THE STADIUM where my dad and me spent countless weekends watching matches taking place on TV.  To imagine stepping out onto the pitch, touring the museum and players changing room feels really surreal! With that in mind, we headed off to Manchester, Old Trafford to experience the last match of the season as well as to tour the stadium and museum of one of the biggest football club in the world!

We saw many people selling yellow-green scarfs of Newton Heath just outside the Tram station

After walking around the stadium grounds we went to the nearby pub to watch the match. I guess to everyone it was a case of wishing for a miracle as all of us had hoped that Wigan would pull off an upset over Chelsea so we can retain the Premier League crown for a record 4th consecutive time but alas that wasn’t the case…haha… at half time we were 2-0 up and so was Chelsea.

Lunch time break with Fish & chips bought from one of the many stalls outside Old Trafford

After the game we went back to the stadium and see if we could catch a glimpse of any players coming out, by the time we got there, so many people were already in line to get the best view and and best positions to get autographs! We managed to get photos and videos of some of the players and managed to get an autograph of Rio Ferdinand! haha…

The 2nd day, was the highlight of the Manchester trip! The Museum and Stadium tour!

Taking the tram with great anticipation... unlike match day it wasn't as crowded

The pub where we watched the game yesterday

Opposite the stadium are statues of Best, Law and Charlton

That's Sir Matt Busby

Big Posters of Rooney and Scholes by the entrance of the Mega Store.

A memorial of the Munich tragedy

Saw a huge poster with one of my favourite Red Devil

OMG... the pair of shoes that i wore has the same design as the huge model above me!

Oooh yeah...got my ticket finally! can't wait to get in!

The famous Treble of 1999

There is a hallway in the museum that was dedicated to some of the Legends that ever played for United. Here are some of them whom my dad and i have watched and supported over the years…

…and of course Monsieur Cantona.

That's Sir Alex when he was still a player!

Yee took a long whiff of Owen's jersey before taking this photo... haha!

At the dugout

Yee was fooling around with the machine that prints your name so that you are 'featured as United Latest Signing' so she did one for me just for laughs!

Even though we didn’t win the League but we did get a good result and ended the season on a high note and next season would prove to be an even challenging and exciting one! Hopefully we can get tickets to watch matches and truly experience the atmosphere in the Theatre of Dreams!

  19. I noticed your site’s ranking in google’s search results is very low.

You are loosing a lot of traffic. You need high PageRank backlinks to rank in top ten. I know – buying
them is too expensive. It is better to own them.
I know how to do that, simply google it:
