Egypt – The land of the great pyramids
Didn’t had any sleep during the night as we were afraid we might oversleep and miss our flight! Boarding time was at 0515am for our Swiss Air flight so we made sure we had enough time to spare when we took the night bus and reached Heathrow Airport at 3am Haha!

After about 2 hrs we had to transit at Zurich which took us about another 2 hrs before we finally reached Cairo Airport to be picked up by the hostel driver.

The bazaar of "Khan al Khali" BEWARE! The people here are not very civilize and they will not hesitate to pull your shirt just to get your attention to buy their stuff!
One important thing when travelling in Egypt is to do research on how things roughly cost for a day tour, camel ride, side trip etc…Compare what other travellers have spent and you will get a rough idea of what the market rate should be. Else, you will easily be ripoff! We had plans to visit Luxor but quotes given to us were way over our budget and just as we were about to scrap the idea of visiting Luxor, we came upon a travel agency after our dinner at about 8pm. By 8.45pm, we were rushing back to our hostel to pack our stuff for a 2D1N trip to Luxor catching the 10pm train! What a sudden turn of events~!
We would like to specially thanks Tamer from New Baron Travel and Mustafa for making this super last minute trip a reality and it was nice having a quick game of Pro Evolution Soccer =). Everything went perfectly well in Luxor and the quality of the hotel was far better than what we expect. The trip was so worth it for what we paid for and you guys went out of the way to take the metro with us to catch our train to Luxor making sure we find our seats. We were well taken care of even when coming back to Cairo. The guide waited 1hr with us when our train back got delayed. Couldn’t ask for better service you guys are a star!

The temple of Karnak - Stated to be one of the biggest temples in the world. Was also featured in the movie "The Mummy II" in its restorated version.
Wondering why these people are walking in circles around the Stone Scarab? Well... if i remembered correctly, our tour guide told us that if you walk 3 circles anti clock-wise u will be blessed with good luck, 7 rounds for fertility, 10 rounds for riches!
